A Conceptual Approach to Assessing Coherency in Teacher Education Programs: Ongoing Formative Assessment that Works |
Teacher Education Programs from any discipline can utilize this Assessment Protocol. It allows faculty to objectively look at the program to determine what is working and what is not. It also points out where changes need to be made or if modifications need to be implemented. Depending on the area(s) needing improvement, any one or more of the 14 Indicators of Coherency can be utilized to assess strengths and/or weaknesses. This is an ideal assessment tool to utilize to determine ongoing objective program improvement needs. |
