Teacher Radar: The View from the Front of the Class |
Why is it that some teachers are able to maintain class control and others, particularly novice teachers, struggle to do so? Why is it that some teachers are able to hold students accountable for class behavior and learning while others cannot? This session, intended for pre-service and in-service teachers, focuses on the ability of teachers to utilize teacher “radar” to attain and maintain class control, to increase student motivation, and to enhance learning. Specifically, information and practical tips regarding developing teacher awareness, creating a learning environment, and utilizing verbal and behavior feedback from students will be shared. |
