The Triangle Assessment Project (TAP) Project |
This session discusses the opportunity for Physical Education Teacher Education (PETE) students to practice assessment techniques in a dance activity course. The relationship between expert and student assessments will be discussed. Participants will model meaningful assessments in PETE courses for practical applications - linking instruction with accountability. The groundbreaking Triangle Assessment Project (TAP) introduced PETE students to self-, peer-, and expert assessments. A rubric point system, co-designed by a dance instructor and an assessment specialist, collected data from four semesters of an introductory PETE dance course (in both public urban university and private college settings). |
