NASPE/Council of Physical Education for Children
Boost Brain Function Through Physical Activity
This is an interactive session for anyone who works with children. It includes an overview of recent brain research which demonstrates the links between physical movement, learning and student performance in general. Examples of cross curricular lessons that meet the needs of physical education standards while enhancing brain function and academic performance will be presented. The program takes into consideration the goals of No Child Left Behind and NASPE Standards to demonstrate how physical activity is crucial to education and learning.
