Weighing In: Helping Girls Be Healthy Today, Healthy Tomorrow |
Give girls ownership of their health! Put pizzazz in your health program! Girl Scouts, the experts on girls, presents an interactive session to help participants develop innovative programs for healthy living. We'll discuss issues that affect food choices such as stress and self-esteem and offer techniques for dealing with them; brainstorm ways to incorporate goal setting and decision-making skills into projects and curricula; and suggest sports, health and fitness opportunities that capitalize on girls’ interests and feelings based on research, including findings from our own Girl Scout Research Institute. Girl Scouts is committed to the fight against obesity. |
