MASSPEC Day: Great Balls of Fun--Part 2 |
This presentation will provide a developmental skill progression with Swiss balls demonstrating ways to design activities to include rhythm and dance, balance, flexibility, muscular strength and endurance, cardio-respiratory fitness, manipulative skills and games. Core stability activities using weights and resistive equipment, proprioceptive awareness,cross-lateral and sensory integration techniques,as well as injury prevention will also be addressed. Participants will experience "hands-on" opportunities to reap the benefits of Swiss ball therapy that is usefull in academic and activity-oriented settings to meet the needs of various types of students and encourage healthy, active lifestyles. |
