Designing the Adventure Experience: Voices from the Industry |
As participation in adventure-based experiences continues to grow, the public is becoming more sophisticated in their expectations and demands regarding high quality experiences and activities. The Adventure Industry has responded by focusing greater attention on the following areas: student assessment, staff training, risk management/hazard assessment, program diversity, and outcome measurement. This presentation will address these five issues within the context of the HPER framework. Particular attention will be given to how educators within the HPER setting can utilize these new developments to make their program offerings more effective and safe, while enhancing participant satisfaction. |
