Menopause: The Mid-life Metamorphosis |
Today, there are forty million menopausal women in America, and 4,000 more enter the midlife transition every day. Among these are many AAHPHERD baby boomers. For many women, the menopausal transition is smooth sailing; for others, however, menopause and its accompanying changes can be a pretty rocky ride. In this presentation we will examine the symptoms and emotions that can accompany menopause, dispel some myths about menopause, clear up some of the confusion regarding treatment, and discuss the influence of the physicians who treat women. |
