I Want to Play Too: Inclusive Physical Education Activities |
Physical Education teachers often find themselves struggling to find ideas to include special needs students in their classes and to meet the goal of inclusion: developing a mutual respect across ability levels for all students. This session will focus on techniques and strategies to assist in preparing developmentally appropriate lessons which encourage active participation by all students. Ideas will be shared that can be implemented directly into the physical education environment. Teachers will leave this session with knowledge, ideas, enthusiasm, and motivation to ensure participation is expected of all in their physical education class. |
