Examining Excellence In Teaching Using StudioCode Analysis Software |
“Was that a good lesson? Yes; No; Maybe?” Digital video technology allows for the examination of best practices in minute detail. For example, how should a teacher walk, talk, move equipment on/off the floor, make groups, and give instructions? What is positive reinforcement anyway? What does it sound like, look like and when should I use it? What does an effective discipline plan look like? How do I give corrective feedback in a positive manner or include students with special needs? This session will demonstrate how StudioCode, IMovie and other software products that are being used in a Pedagogy Lab in PETE to analyze excellence in teaching. |
