Jazz Dance, Moving from Your Emotional Center |
Technique may be a focus in the dance class, but how do students learn the skills to become a poet when they move? Explore how jazz technique is incorporated into the affective domain throughout the class. Students will have a deeper connection, and be more committed to, the material when they are asked to express their feelings during class. Topics include: Guided Discovery, Reflective Questioning, Imagery, Peer-tutoring, and Journaling. The attended audience, K-12 and university educators, will learn many tools for their classes. This presenter is an experienced Artist-in-Education, who uses movement to enhance the curriculum for the kinesthetic learner. |
