How To Teach Biomechanics To Under-prepared Physical Education Majors |
Many kinesiology/biomechanics professors receive physical education majors who are not prepared to learn the required subject matter as outlined by NASPE's Biomechanics Academy. Many universities require anatomy and physiology prerequisites but not physics. Hence, kinetics and kinematics become a weak point in learner preparation. The Biomechanics Academy constructs standards to meet employment expectations including kinetics and kinematics. This session conveys a successful approach to teach under-prepared physical education majors to learn and retain kinetics and kinematics subject matter. |
