This session is offered by some of the top scholars in the field and is intended for college and university personnel. It examines the historical roots and ramifications of the cross-cultural expansion of sport from the nineteenth century to the present. It covers the processes of expansion, the purposes, and outcomes in a comparative structure, analyzing American and non-American efforts. It concludes with both positive and negative ramifications for the future. |
