Who's to Blame: Legal Liability in Physical Activity and Sport Settings |
The nature of the risks inherent in physical activity and sport settings is greater than in any other discipline. It is therefore imperative that sport professionals realize the importance of establishing and maintaining environments that will ensure the safety of their participants. This presentation will discuss the obligations these individuals assume to take protective measures and minimize risks in their respective settings. Legal liability issues specific to the physical activity and sport disciplines will be discussed, along with strategies these professionals can employ to better prepare themselves for the challenges they may encounter. |
