Gayle L. Bush, Troy University, Troy, AL, Michael D. Hall, University of North Alabama, Florence, AL and Rebecca R. Johns, Middle Tennessee State University, Murfreesboro, TN

This presentation discusses writing surveys for use with SPSS analysis and is designed for people just starting to use SPSS. Attendees will learn how to create and edit surveys, enter the results in SPSS, and interpret the output. We will also discuss how to create graphs from the output to export into a Word document or PowerPoint. This software is a comprehensive and flexible statistical analysis and data management tool that is well suited to survey data. Example surveys and corresponding data sets involve presenters’ research in body image, fitness testing and sport marketing.
