This study described academic preparation procedures of health science, health education, and public health students regarding bioterrorism. The study examined the types of classes, outside learning experiences, and faculty ratio specializing in bioterrorism. A simple random sample of institutions specializing in health education, public health, and health science preparation was examined. The survey was distributed using Internet technology. Descriptive statistics were used to describe the preparation practices of the universities to face this new and emerging threat. Health education, health science, and public health professionals need to recognize new and existing threats to personal and public health to prepare the next generation of practitioners to battle this new epidemic.
