25th Anniversary C.H. McCloy Research Lecture and Breakfast—Are American Children and Youth Fit? It’s Time We Learned |
James R. Morrow, Jr., Ph.D., is a Regents Professor in the Department of Kinesiology, Health Promotion, and Recreation at the University of North Texas. An expert in fitness testing for 25 years, he will revisit the question posed over a decade ago by Corbin and Pangrazi – “Are American Children and Youth Fit?” While much has been stated about activity and obesity levels in children and youth, tracking of changes in physical fitness parameters at the national level has not been assessed with randomly representative samples for 20 years. Dr. Morrow will explore whether it is time to do so again. |
Contributors: The Research Consortium gratefully acknowledges the International Bottled Water Association for its generous contribution to this event for the second year in a row. |
