School Health Programming |
The objective of this session is to help participants put a face on “coordinated school health." The two part presentation will address initially an award winning program from one county to assist the audience in learning ideas for implementing coordinated school health in their own schools. Slides and descriptions of top school programs will be provided. The second part of the session explores the practical and theoretical commonalities between the profession of school counseling and health education. Speakers will present and discuss identified barriers to coordination as well as recommendations for guidelines and resources to enhance the integration between the professions on campuses. |
