Day 2 - Understanding Selected Chronic Conditions in the Elderly: Implications for Functional Ability and Guidelines for Physical Activity
Health Care and Fitness practitioners will receive the current research and assessment techniques for such chronic conditions as cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases, diabetes, and cancer, and how these interfere with functional ability. Through a case analysis approach, participants will learn how to structure programs that maximize the benefits of regular exercise. Activity sessions introduce "best practices" in the field while participants experience appropriate use of the latest equipment designed for this purpose. |
