This successful Women’s Sports Foundation program has reached more than 273,000 girls aged 10-14 in its first three years. It is designed to educate girls about health risk behaviors in a sports environment. GoGirlGo uses personal stories from champion athletes, including Tamika Catchings, Vonetta Flowers, Mia Hamm, and Natalie Williams, and a team of four teenage characters, the GoGirls, to teach adolescent girls life lessons about topics such as dating, body image, dealing with bullies, diversity, smoking, drugs and stress.
