2004 National Dance Association Scholar/Artist Lecture: Dr. Nancy Schmitz |
Nominated by her peers for meritorious service, Nancy Brooks Schmitz presents her inspiring lecture, “Dance, A Spirit Voice of Our Culture”. Dr. Schmitz will examine how “the spirit of the people is embedded in their dance, unified by events and beliefs."
The Scholar/Artist earned an EdD from Temple University and has held appointments at the University of Montana, Teachers College of Columbia University, University of Guam, and University of Wisconsin–La Crosse. She has taught in the United States, British Columbia, Mozambique, Australia, England, and Russia, and presented at the Cairo ICHPER-SD Conference. Join us in sharing her experiences and dedication to dance. |
