Want Proof That A Wellness Education Program Works? |
Eighty-five percent of Florida's inmate population returns to society. Not only are inmates a burden to society while they are in prison, they are also a burden when they return to society if they continue to make unhealthy lifestyle decisions. This presentation will demonstrate a successful state wide wellness education model implemented in the Florida State Correctional System. Topics will include funding strategies, instructor training, standards, lesson plans, program organization, policies, and rules. Data showing the economic impact of the program as well as individual outcomes will also be covered. |
