Parents’ Preferences for Coaches' Leadership Behaviors in Girls' Youth Soccer |
GOOOOOAAAAAAL! This study examined the personal preferences of parents related to the leadership behaviors of coaches. Parents with daughters participating on girls under-12 age group youth soccer teams in Maryland were asked to indicate their personal preferences for the leadership behaviors of youth sport coaches. Therefore, parents were not asked to evaluate their child’s present coach or any other coach, but instead to indicate their personal preferences related to youth coaches in general. The parents were asked to respond to The Revised Leadership Scale for Sport 60-item questionnaire spontaneously and honestly in order for the evaluation to be accurate. |
