Comprehensive School Safety Plans: Beyond Duck-Tape and Cover |
World conditions dictate that schools plan exercises that extend beyond fire drills!
This interactive presentation will illustrate the four components of the New Mexico SDE Safe Schools Plan. These plans include sections that address prevention, intervention, response and recovery strategies.
Participants will receive a template for a coordinated approach to school health which includes a safe and healthy environment for staff, students and community members.
This session will also include various responses schools should be prepared to execute, including both natural disasters and manmade emergencies.
This hands-on session will provide participants the opportunity to draft a comprehensive safe schools plan. |
