Teaching Leadership Skills Through Outdoor Adventure |
Are leaders born or made? Can good leadership be learned? In order to develop students’ leadership abilities, outdoor educators must understand this often vague construct. This session will discuss the definition of leadership and ways in which transferable leadership skills can be taught through outdoor adventure activities. The presentation will focus on the various theories of leadership and leadership styles, and how this information may be successfully applied with students in wilderness settings. |
