Program Evaluation: The Key to Program Accountability and Justification |
In an era of high stakes testing and increasing public pressure for more accountability in K-12 education, physical educators are facing unprecedented demands to both justify and demonstrate that their programs are effective. The focus of this presentation is to demonstrate how technology and a systematic program evaluation plan can be used to address these demands. The Achievement-Based Curriculum (ABC) evaluation process will be used to illustrate how student assessment data can be used to address issues such as student grading, teacher effectiveness, and the degree to which the physical education curriculum is actually being achieved by the students. |
