Dancing Circles of Celebration, Friendship and Community |
Experience the joy of learning dances about community life with this session that offers a practical approach to teaching an elementary school unit. Participants will learn three dances that can serve within an interdisciplinary or co-curricular program. The Friendship Dance depicts a neighborhood party. The Birthday Dance highlights children's activities associated with such a celebration. The Baseball Dance explores movements in a ballgame, and is appropriate for teaching about the opening or ending of a season. These exercises are easily incorporated into a dance or physical education curriculum. |
