Professional Sports: Is There a Glass Ceiling for Minorities in Leadership Positions? |
Despite the fact that minorities have made significant social and economical impact in sport over the past 30 years, they have experienced racial and gender discrimination relative to leadership positions in professional sport. The concept of a glass ceiling for minorities in leadership positions will be examined. Trends in the hiring practices of minorities in leadership positions will be highlighted, and inferences involving the answer to the question posed will be presented. |
