Zero to Rally in 60 Minutes: An Integrated and Interactive Workshop to Implement Tennis in Your P.E. Curriculum |
This participatory workshop, using modified equipment, will arm K-12 Physical Education teachers with the necessary tools to implement the new USA School Tennis program that meets current NASPE standards by creating an enhanced learning and outcome based environment. The program includes lesson plans with prepared peer assessments that are easy to understand and apply. Divided in four parts, Part 1 introduces tracking, receiving, striking skills, and the forehand, Part 2 offers the introduction of the backhand and rallying, Part 3 presents the fundamentals of the Serve/Return, and Part 4 demonstrates the proper teaching techniques for the volley and net play. |
