Adventures in Adapted Activity |
A practical learning opportunity for university PE methods teachers and K-12 adapted physical educators to collaborate and plan a hands-on learning activity for future PE/adapted majors and adapted students. This “Adventure In Activity Day” is organized and promoted by university faculty, students and area teachers. It enables future adapted PE teachers to meet, learn about and teach to the physical, cognitive, and affective development of adapted students. Specific information about implementing an Activity Day is provided. Discussion, handouts and a highlight video help participants understand the organization and value of this experience. |
