This session will provide an overview of a unique coaches training and education program whose goal is to champion, educate, and attract young women to the coaching profession. This is accomplished by providing a comprehensive pathways approach for young women seeking to begin a coaching career. Key program components presented will include mentor training, future coaches camp, internship, and job placement. Ways to create a similar grass roots program in participants’ schools and communities will be discussed. Participants will become familiar with standards, guidelines, and resources for coaching education. |
