Quality of life (QoL) is a significant indicator of health status and has increasingly become recognized as a necessary element in health outcomes and evaluation. In order to address QoL in Health Education, it is important for health educators to have a comprehensive understanding of this multidimensional construct and its application in a variety of settings and populations. This session will 1) identify why QoL is important to Health Education 2) define QoL and demonstrate its application in school, community, university, worksite, and clinical settings 3) highlight how QoL relates to Health Education Responsibilities and Competencies. |
