C.H. McCloy Research Lecture and Breakfast Banquet - At the Crossroads: The Contributions of Response Selection Skill to Sport and Physical Activity |
T. Gilmour Reeve, Ph.D. is a Professor and Chair of Health, Exercise, and Sport Sciences at Texas Tech University. He received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Texas Tech University and the Doctor of Philosophy from Texas A& M University. During his 22 years at Auburn University, Dr. Reeve held an Alumni Professorship and the W. T. Smith Distinguished Professorship in Education. Dr. Reeve is a Fellow in the Research Consortium and the American Academy of Kinesiology and Physical Education. He is a Past President of the North American Society for the Psychology of Sport and Physical Activity and a former Editor-in-Chief for the Research Quarterly for Exercise and Sport. Dr. Reeve’s research focuses on the role of cognitive processes in human performance. His research has examined response selection and implementation processes. In addition to numerous articles and book chapters, Dr. Reeve co-edited Stimulus-Response Compatibility: An Integrated Perspective, a comprehensive review of compatibility research. |
