Importance of Developing a Local Physical Education Association |
The Escambia County Schools (FL) Physical Education Association has been a very successful partner with the school district in the development and implementation of a quality physical education and wellness program and has been cited by the Florida Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance as having a model local association. This presentation will discuss the purposes of a local association (professional growth and fellowship, advocacy, program assistance, professional recognition, and partnerships), examples of local association activities, and the importance and role of the school district physical education coordinator in providing leadership. |
