NASPE/Sport Sociology Academy
Hazing of Student-Athletes and Sexual Abuses in Education and Sport
A two-part program dealing with various types of violence. Part one addresses hazing of student-athletes at all levels of sport. Proactive strategies to prevent the occurrence of and policies and procedures that can assist in legal protection from the ramifications of hazing will be presented. Part two is a "town meeting" addressing sexual assault, harassment, and violence in our schools and communities. Focal points will be on professionals and non-professionals who interact with our children, emphasizing education and protection for all concerned. Take the opportunity to bring your concerns and strategies to share with others!.
