Integrating Health Education Activities Into After School Programs |
After school programs for public school children are increasing in both number and quality. This session describes one of the largest programs in Oklahoma. At the conclusion of this session, the participants will be able to define what an after school program is and how university personnel can assist the public school district in the implementation of health education activities. More specifically, this session will describe how the university selects students who will deliver the activities and how these topics are chosen. To determine the effectiveness of the health education activities, methods of evaluation will be discussed. |
