Self-Defense More Than Just Physical |
This workshop presents a model for teaching self-defense at the secondary level as well as shows practical Active Learning strategies that are fast paced, fun, and supportive. The workshop includes ways to get students active from the first day through activities that build teamwork and immediately get them thinking about the subject matter. The workshop demonstrates full-class learning and small group learning, stimulating discussion and debate and even getting students to teach each other. The workshop also provides useful and practical information on how to create a self-defense unit that focuses on avoidance rather than physical confrontation. |
