Seasons on the Brink: Coaching Youth Baseball, Theory into Practice |
One continuing problem in human movement is bridging the gap between research and practice. This is even more difficult when the practitioners and consumers lack formal education in the field. Applying research findings often meets with rejection in real world settings. This session relates the trials, progress and triumphs of two sport psychologists coaching youth baseball. Learn of the experiences, reactions and reflections from the initial board meeting, team selection, parents meeting, practice, games and All Star tournament from three "seasons on the brink". |
