Does the Length of Time in Sport Affect the Ethics of an Athlete? |
This session will report the findings of a survey given to a high school football, volleyball, girl's basketball and boy's basketball teams. The survey was designed to determine if answers to questions of ethics and moral reasoning change based on the student's length of time involved in a sports program. After discussing the findings, the survey will be given to session participants followed by a review of programs used to enhance positive, ethical decisions made by student athletes no matter how long the involvement has been in a sports program. |
