Role of Qualitative Biomechanics in Injury Etiology of Throwers |
The purpose of this presentation is to provide attendees with an overview of the role of qualitative (non-numerical) biomechanics in identifying factors that lead to injury in throwing athletes. Attendees will learn tips on (1) how to break down the throwing motion for proper analysis; (2) how to conduct a qualitative analysis (view, distance, subject attire, etc.); and (3) how to identify the biomechanical errors that lead to injury. Video analysis will be a part of this presentation. |
