| A Professional Partnership: Sports 37 - Job Training Academy |
| Want to apply for municipal funding, provide collaboration between agencies and recruit adolescents to HPERA careers? Learn how to customize a partnership between schools and parks to bring quality youth programming to your community! Sport 37 is an exciting program for increasing physical activity and sport readiness among adolescents ages 16-18 in after-school settings. Six school/parks participated in Chicago. Chicago State University's Department of HPER developed a partnership that included a sport "immersion" program. Participants got the "hands-on" chance to upgrade sport skills and prepared them for employment as recreation coach/leaders in the Chicago Park District's summer camp program. |
