Professorate, Here Today Gone Tomorrow; Symptoms, Indicators, and Implications for HPERD |
The profession is embarking on a period of unprecedented retirements of public and college faculty. Is the HPERD profession at the university level adequately preparing to fill this employment demand in needed disciplines or in jeopardy of being caught in short supply, further compromising the future preparation of public physical educators and the number of programs in higher education. This session will provide available data and attempt to respond to this important question and the implications for higher education and the public schools. |
