Program Promotion Media: Providing Recreation Consumers What They Want |
How does your agency promote recreation programs to consumers? Flyers, signs, newspaper ads, web sites? What media do consumers use most often to explore their leisure choices and how would they like to receive information in the future? Utilizing the results of a recent urban leisure needs survey, this session will examine differences in preferences among various groups of leisure participants as well as explore the advantages and disadvantages of various information media commonly used to promote recreation programs. In addition, suggestions for improving promotional effectiveness will be provided. |
