Using PDAs and Digital Technology in Physical Education: The PreK-College Connection |
Join elementary, secondary, and college teachers who have successfully implemented Personal Digital Assistants (PDA) (hand-held computers) into their teaching. Explore a hands-on demonstration of PDA versatility and compare the Palm OS and Pocket PC systems. Participants will have an opportunity to beam data, hot sync a PDA to both Mac and Windows laptop computer, add text using graffiti, portable keyboards, and text typing. The following peripherals for the PDA will be available for hands on viewing: digital camera; Presenter-to-Go; voice recorders; and pedometers. Participants will have an opportunity to input data from fitness scores, heart-rate monitors, and pedometers into PDA spreadsheets. |
