Signal Processing: An Intuitive Approach |
Knowledge of signal processing methods is required to collect and analyze quantitative movement data. This tutorial will provide a basic intuitive feel for several advanced signal processing techniques, including cross-correlations, Fourier analysis, signal reconstruction, wavelets and data smoothing. Time and frequency domain analyses will be explained in simple terms by starting with the basic correlation function. All subsequent techniques will be derived from a fundamental understanding of this function. Emphasis will be on understanding the uses of these techniques as they apply to human motion. |
