Attitudes of Youth Sport Parents and Volunteer Coaches Toward Coaching Education and Parental Codes of Conduct |
This session will serve as a discussion of the results of a series of focus groups examining the recommendations and opinions of volunteer youth sport coaches and parents toward coaching education, certification, and parental codes of conduct in youth sport settings. The implications of the findings will be examined in light of important considerations for the many national youth sport certification programs that have been established in the United States, specifically with how to structure educational programming that addresses the specific needs of volunteer youth sport coaches and parents. |
