NASPE/Council of Physical Education for Children |
Stride Right Into Fitness and Fun |
Participants will learn a variety of uses for pedometers and how to plan and organize a walking program for their students. During this session the NASPE National Physical Education Standards will be addressed as they relate to walking programs and activities using pedometers. With increasing concern regarding childhood obesity, all teachers are looking for ways to get their students excited about physical activity. Walking programs and pedometers are a great motivational tool for physical education classes and recess time. |
