Survival Training for New Department Chairs |
The purpose of this session is to provide tips for success in administration. This session offers new chairs and those considering administration with an introduction to success-oriented management. A recognized expert/speaker on leadership, and department head at the United States Military Academy at West Point, focuses on the “need to lead.” In addition, comments and experiences are provided by a “rookie” chair as well as a veteran department chair. A perspective from a former chair will also be offered. Finally, time for questions and discussion will conclude the session. Attendees will leave with practical tools for effective administration and leadership. |
