The Use of SUDAAN to Access and Analyze Nationally Representative Data which Utilize Complex Sample Designs |
Nationally representative data sets are becoming increasingly available to researchers as public-use data. However, the sample design used in these surveys complicates the analysis. In order to obtain unbiased results, you must use techniques and software that account for complex sampling designs. This introductory session is designed for researchers interested in working with large, complex data sets. This session will introduce the following: background on complex sampling designs, incorporating data and SAS code from the internet into statistical programs, issues of weighted data, and an overview of SUDAAN and why it is necessary when analyzing data from complex surveys. |
