Safe At Home: Managing Risk in Sport & Recreation Facilities
One of the most common claims in sport related injury lawsuits is that of dangerous facilities and/or equipment. This half-day workshop will look at common problems regarding facility safety and several practical methods of reducing the risks of injury associated with sport and recreation facilities, grounds, and equipment. In addition to reducing hazards, a good program of risk management will also establish strategies for defending oneself and organization from a lawsuit if an injury does occur. Many such strategies will be presented.
